A study of the advertisements in Ahmedabad’s public-spaces. A visual and literary interplay with the hoardings in Ahmedabad and how they pull us/romance us constantly. A story of living in a city in confusion, query and irony. There are elements of recording, memory, commentary and romance in these works. I have used the stance of both the advertisers and the critics of the advertising industry. I talk of the experience - of constantly facing the hoardings, being wooed, excusing them, feeling irritated, resentful and uncomfortable.
